- Sugar Cookie Recipe Ingredients: 2 1/2 sticks margarine 1 c. sugar 1 tsp. vanilla 2 eggs 1/2 tsp. baking powder 4 c. flour Directions: Cream margarine with sugar and vanilla. Add eggs, baking powder, and flour until a soft dough is formed.Cover dough with plastic and refrigerate for an hour or overnight.On lightly floured surface, roll out dough to 1/8” thickness. Place the cutter on the dough and press down firmly. Lift the cutter for 13 perfect dreidels! Continue until all dough is used.Place cookies on greased cookie sheet and bake for 8-10 minutes or until golden brown. Cool slightly before removing from cookie sheet.*Optional: Add the Gimel letters, colored sugar crystals or chocolate chips to cookies before baking. Yields: 50 Cookies
